Living in Dyke is about as close to living in the country that you can get. A few minutes away are the open-farm fields with a big track leading out into the thousands of acres of Culbin Forest.
Both Dyke preschool and Dyke Primary school are small and extremely desirable with generally a waiting list for out-of-catchment children. With only approximately 90 children, the "Tatler Guide to the Best State Primary Schools (2017)" listed Dyke Primary in the Top 10 and the only listed Primary school in Scotland, noting "Dyke Primary is driven by the community spirit - it's like a big family". Dyke itself is a lovely small village with a real sense of community. There is an active village hall where bowling, circus skills, ballroom dancing, badminton and a monthly bite-and-blether are among a few of the activities that happen on a regular basis. The Church is a beautiful step-back-in-time classically beautiful building with a real sense of peacefulness. Combined with it's extremely easy access to the amenities of Forres (approx. 4 miles) and Nairn (approx. 5 miles) and easy access into the A96 to Inverness (approx.20 miles) and Aberdeen, Dyke is about as perfect a place as you could hope to live.
Houses in Dyke do not come up for sale often so early viewing is recommended on this house, which offers fantastic value for money.
